Facts on Preventing Poisonings Before They Happen

This fact sheet provides useful information to families and caregivers about how to prevent common childhood poisonings at home. It lists common products like medicines, tobacco and vaping products, cannabis and other items that should be stored in a locked cupboard or bag to deter children from accessing them. Among other poisoning prevention tips, it recommends never to rely on "child-resistant" packaging, to always keep products in their original packaging and to keep adult purses and bags away from children at all times. Also available in French, Mi'kmaq and Arabic.
