Every November, Child Safety Link and our injury prevention partners across Atlantic Canada recognize Fall Prevention Month. This month is a time to raise awareness about the serious impact of fall-related injuries on families in Atlantic Canada, and the measures we can take to prevent these injuries.
New for 2025: Child Safety Link is offering a Child Falls Prevention Toolkit for both families and service providers, in both english and french. These materials are designed to support education and outreach efforts in family resource centres, childcare centres, and other child and family environments. Visit the toolkit page here!
In the media: Child Safety Link's Sarah Mavrak will make an appearance on CTV Morning Live at 7:15 a.m. on November 3, 2025 to share some great tips with families on what they can do at home to help prevent serious child falls! Tune in to watch :)
Throughout Fall Prevention Month 2025, Child Safety Link will also share weekly tips on Facebook and Instagram, focused on keeping young children safe at home, with a spotlight on baby gate use.
Visit our falls prevention page for information tailored to every age and stage of infancy and childhood.
