How will you participate?
Every year, Child Safety Link and our Atlantic Canadian partners celebrate Child Passenger Safety Week to highlight how we can better protect children in vehicles.
This year’s theme is “The Right Seat.” We will focus on how to know that a child is in the appropriate seat for his or her age and stage and highlight common errors to watch out for. We also want to bring awareness of the importance of using car seats and booster seats to newcomer families. As always, we will direct families to where they can find help through the support of community partners. Together we can support families to choose the right seat and use it safely.
Remember that any activity promoting child passenger safety is welcome and celebrated this week and the whole month of September!

I am a technician or advocate. What can I do?
We know that this year is different. In the past we have promoted toolkits to support a roadside check event with law enforcement, a booster seat presentation at your local school or a car seat check event or clinic in your community. This year we will all be looking online for new and creative ways to reach families with social media posts, videos and other ways to answer questions and promote safety in the car.
